Claire Owen is the curator and project manager of the Ebbsfleet Landmark Project and has been the Senior Public Art Project Director at Futurecity for three years. Futurecity was founded in 2000 by Director Mark Davy and is the UK's leading public arts consultancy. Futurecity has devised and implemented extensive cultural strategies and curated and project managed
a wide range of public artworks for both private companies and public sector organisations over the past seven years. Claire Owen's portfolio of public art projects include a major memorial to the Abolition of Slavery for the City of London and Black British Heritage, Richard Wilson's first permanent public sculpture in London and collaborative architectural projects between MAKE Architects and artist Clare Woods and Rolfe Judd Architects and artist Paul Morrison. Claire has also worked with the Royal Academy of Arts to set up the RA School's Gallery in Hornsey and with Chelsea College of Art & Design to establish the Chelsea Futurespace Gallery in Grosvenor Waterside. Claire worked previously as Director of Membership and the Gallery at the Royal British Society of Sculptors (RBS).
