Eurostar, the high-speed passenger service linking the UK and mainland Europe, has carried more than 80 million travellers since 1994 - and over 8.25 million in 2007 alone. Eurostar operates on High Speed 1, the UK's first high-speed line. Trains travel at 186 mph, some 50% faster than the UK's fastest domestic rail services. Ebbsfleet International is one of two new stations on the route and is ideally located just off junction 2 of the M25, close to Bluewater Shopping Centre, and at the heart of a catchment of 10 million people across southern England. It offers 7 trains a day to Paris and 5 services a day to Brussels, with journey times of just 2 hours 5 minutes and 1 hour 41 minutes respectively.
Eurostar's new central London terminal is the spectacular St Pancras International station, from where there are 17 daily services to Paris and 10 to Brussels. There is also a daily service to Disneyland Resort Paris, a weekly summer service to Avignon and twice weekly winter ski-train to the French Alps.
