Mark Wallinger is proposing an enormous white horse, 33 times life-size, to stand on Springhead, looking out over Ebbsfleet Valley and the Thames Estuary. The horse will be a faithfully accurate representation of a thoroughbred racehorse in all but its scale. Boat-building technology will be used to construct the horse, creating the body in much the same way that a hull of a ship might be made.
